Karate for Christ International is the largest Christian martial arts organization in the world, with members in all 50 states of the United States as well as in 28 other countries. The organization is a fellowship of believers who firmly believe God has preserved and kept his word and that we are saved by grace through faith, not of works. They are NOT a para-church organization in that each Karate for Christ school exists as an extension of the ministry of a local church and they refer theological and counseling issues back to the local pastors. The desire of the organization is to win the lost and to encourage believers to get into fellowship in a Bible-believing church.
The mission of Karate for Christ International is:
To proclaim the Gospel of the Grace of God. To reach the lost, mature the saints, serve our communities, and to touch the lives of "at risk youth" and families in need. To do these things throughout the world via the medium, lessons, and discipline of martial arts. To teach the best and most effective martial art we know. To serve God, minister to others, and teach the children well.
They also desire to motivate martial artists to help reach the Asian continent with the gospel of grace by supporting Asia Reach Ministries as their official Partner in Missions, to give the gospel to the continent that gave us the martial arts.
